Annie Strongwater is a New York based fine artist that specializes in oil paint landscapes. She grew up in Upstate New York exploring the dense deciduous forests and gathering inspiration for her artwork. She studied studio art and environmental science at Skidmore College and Victoria University of Wellington. Influenced by Impressionism, she uses light brushstrokes in order to create movement and evoke emotion. Her paintings offer a journey through whimsical forests and sublime mountains in order to inspire viewers to have a deeper understanding and connection with the environment. Her most recent work was shown at the Superfine Art Fair in NYC and the Astoria Art Center. She currently has a studio in Astoria, New York.
